How about a BKR of District 9?

  2. Good show guys.

    Two things:

    1. Iron Man 3 is being written and directed by Shane Black. You have to watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang if you haven’t already.
    2. *Anyone who has seen Zero Dark Thirty, who believes the film glorifies, or even suggests that torture helped them get OBL, was either not paying attention or a moron.

*Not directed at Jitterbug as he hasn’t seen it yet obviously

Why the Back to the future trilogy?  It really isnt that good or even that bad.  There is nothing to say apart from a relatively entertaining movie that turned into a tedious trilogy. Oh well, I’m gonna listen anyway because you are always entertaining. However I do feel your time could be better spent.

I think the series will be a good example of how a great movie can be ruined by sequels. I’ve been chastised often for saying that the second and third movies are garbage, so I’m looking forward to vindicating my viewpoint on those. Parts 2 and 3 are a mess, and go in such wrong directions that it stands as one of the most spectacular failed sequels in memory (notice I didn’t say “PREQUELS” because there are a few movies that hold onto that title). There is literally NOTHING about part 2 of Back to the Future that is any good – and it relies entirely on our good feelings about part one. Most people that I talk to disagree vehemently about that, so I look forward to proving it.

Part three on the other hand will be a chore to watch, let alone talk about.

You’re asking the guys that BKRed the BloodRayne trilogy why we do things? There are 100’s of movies on our to do list and they all can’t be as awesome as Black Dynamite.

Fair enough, I look forward to it then.  I hope someone will attempt to defend the sequels because that will be a thankless task!bigsmile

I remember watching the first one as a kid and not particularly liking it, or finding it funny.

I don’t think I ever bothered to get around to watching the sequels.

If you didn’t like the first one then you should stay far, Far, FAR away from the sequels.

I think it can be argued that the film glorifies torture but it absolutely gives the message that torture is acceptable.

As many people will not have seen it, I don’t want to discuss it here but if you want to open a thread on it, we can talk about it there.
