BRB Boom 8: Hey Wilhelmina

On this episode of BRB Boom, Dogsdie flies solo in a special episode dedicated to his (and SmellyPirate’s) grandmother who recently passed away.  Smelly Pirate was in Oklahoma all week to be with family for the memorial service and DogsDie stayed at home with his newborn baby girl.  Yoshifett…continued to do whatever it is he does.  Enjoy this touching tribute to Grandma Boom and join us next week for a full episode of BRB Boom.

Please be sure to subscribe to the BRB Boom feed on iTunes or RSS. If you insist, you can always just download the mp3. If you are currently using a computer with iTunes on it, would you mind heading over there and leaving some feedback? Thanks for the Diggs!

Thats pretty sad. Dogsdie scared me for a moment when he said “last night Smelly and my beautiful scotish grandma passed away”. I thought Smelly died too =(

That was a really touching episode, DD, thank you for having the strength to share this very sad news with us.  I’m sorry for your family’s loss.  Congratulations on the birth of your daughter – a new mini lady has joined the family.

My condolences for your loss guys. That was a very touching song Dogsdie.
My she forever rest in peace.

  9. Thanks for the thoughts, everyone. Her service was easily the most inspiring and peaceful funeral I have ever attended. We miss her, but are glad that she is pain free and reuniting with her husband, who we lost 16 years ago.

At the service, DD’s video of him singing the song was played, while all of her grandchildren sang along to the chorus. It was amazing. I could almost see the banner ad outside the funeral home: “This service has been brought to you by yousicals.com.” Naw, but it was a touching moment.

Thanks for being a part of her memorial, Boombahs.

Why Do We Play MMOs?

Oddly enough, the one thing I realize I don't play MMOs is for the community aspect. Sure, I will join a party to run a dungeon, but apart from that, I tend to run solo, thus negating the MMO portion of my enjoyment. So why do I enjoy them?

While the novelty of a modern retelling of the original Star Trek series has now worn off, Star Trek Into Darkness is still a thrill ride from beginning to end.
