A24 has dropped the first trailer for The Invite, with Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen playing a couple whose already frayed marriage is pushed further out of shape by a dinner party with their upstairs neighbours. The footage keeps most of its hand close, but it does a good job of selling the film’s awkward, brittle tone.
Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton round out the central quartet, and the trailer leans more on shifting power dynamics and social discomfort than broad gags, which gives the whole thing a more interesting edge.
The Invite lands in cinemas on June 26, 2026.
