A24’s first trailer for The Death of Robin Hood goes older, harsher and more reflective with the legend. Hugh Jackman’s Robin is framed less as a folk hero and more as a man trying to reckon with the damage he has done.
Jodie Comer is positioned as a key figure in that late-life turn, while the trailer’s mood does most of the heavy lifting. It looks stripped back, violent and a long way from the usual swashbuckling version of the story.
