An incredible amount of good is being done on November 2nd 2013 – this is a record year for Extra Life. The number of registered gamers for the annual gaming charity tournament, created to help the Children’s Miracle Network, is double what it was this time last year. What we all love so much about Extra Life, besides the saving lives and healing kids part, is that it revolves around something we love to do. The open nature of this charity lends itself to some real creativity in terms of how we raise money and play through the marathon.
In past years for Extra Life, members of our staff have been involved in feats of true heroism. For one, Jon Brady played Rock Band for the entire 24 hour duration, garnering support from Harmonix and generally impressing the pants off live-stream viewers. Ex-staff member Mat Jones endured twenty-four gruelling, challenging hours of grinding through Demon’s Souls. Many other staff members have engaged in either silly or challenging ordeals in the name of Extra Life too.
This year, headed up by our very own Daniel “design guru” Thompson, we are proud to be sponsoring a car in a racing tournament known as the Miracle Cup.
Using Need For Speed: Shift, Extra Life Yakima has organized a LAN party racing tournament where they are painting logos on each of the 24 cars participating. They’ve drawn support from local businesses, friends and websites like ours and they are edging closer and closer to their $5000 goal. Please help us show our support by making a small donation to our #66 Shelby GT500.

Then come along and cheer us on! That said, the real winners here are the sick children that the money will go towards helping. Play your part.
