The 2003 PlayStation 2 classic Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly is returning with a full remake, set to launch next year.
Director Makoto Shibata has highlighted several changes designed to bring the horror favourite into the modern era, including overhauled visuals, enhanced audio design, and an evolved Camera Obscura system.
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake will release in early 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
