Nintendo has lifted the lid on Mario Tennis Fever, the latest entry in the long-running sports series, during this week’s Nintendo Direct.
The game adds new slide and defensive manoeuvres alongside 30 unique “Fever Rackets”, each unlocking a different version of the powerful Fever Shot. With 38 playable characters – the largest roster the series has seen – players can jump into Tournament, Trial Towers, Mix It Up mode (complete with Wonder effects), or an Adventure mode that turns Mario and friends into baby versions of themselves. Swing Mode also returns, now taking advantage of the upgraded Joy-Con 2 motion controls.
Mario Tennis Fever launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12, 2026.
