Nintendo has announced a Kirby Air Riders Direct, set for Tuesday, August 19 at 14:00 (BST). The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes and focus entirely on the upcoming racer for the Switch 2.
This marks the first new project in years from Masahiro Sakurai, best known as the director of the Super Smash Bros. series. Kirby Air Riders is a follow-up to 2003’s Kirby Air Ride on GameCube, with development beginning in earnest back in 2023 once support for Smash Bros. Ultimate wrapped up.
Kirby Air Riders is planned to release on Switch 2 later in 2025.
