Despite a previous setback, it’s time for another episode of the Big Red Barrelcast!
Pacman, Kev, and Dave kickoff the new year by babbling on about:
- New releases and demos
- A Nintendo Switch update
- Apocalypse Now might be a game
- Switch launch titles
- Other miscellaneous Switch news
- Upcoming Battlefield 1 DLC
- Evo 2017
- Shoutouts
- Bonus content for lovely app users.
We’d love to give you all some sort of incredible hug immediately followed by a polite conversation about how cool you are, but frankly, we can’t afford the travel expenses. So, while we save our pennies, cents, and whatever the heck Canadians use, we’ll offer you some download links to help bide the time. Subscribe here. Here’s the RSS feed. Leave an iTunes review here. Pacman, you pronounced it ok, not perfect, feel free to keep trying 😉
I would like to know kev’s opinion on the Dark Souls 3 DLCs, the first and the one that is coming. From what i’ve read the first one is pretty short. Is it worth it? Sure, I love the main game and it will last me a couple more weeks for sure, but €25 for just a couple more areas and weapons…
Kev
The first DLC had two of the hardest boss fights ever put in a Souls game, so if challenge is your thing, you may get your money’s worth, but outside of that it was pretty underwhelming, both in terms of length and setting/story. As someone who bought the season pass early on, I really hope the upcoming DLC is of a greater quality.

Congrats to Pacman 😀 You made the right choice.
Also, keep the switch pre-order Pacman. Sell it higher (lets say, enough to make back the money spent on it, and enough to buy an actual Nintendo handheld worth owning) and then get the switch down the line if you feel the need.
But, only if you feel the need
