This Week’s Feature Game is: Scout
Oink Games make great games in small boxes. Scout is one of their best and I’m confident that it will be popular with our regular crowd as they already play it on a regular basis. Players juggle cards of dual values in a hand-management game game where you need to collect sets of cards to play and get rid of the cards from your hand as quickly as possible.
A small game with a Big Top that should make for a top little prize. Join us this Tuesday and you could win a copy just by trying the game out on the night.
Last Week’s Feature Game was: Ofrenda
We have an awesome lineup of games for 2025 but this week’s feature game is extra special. Not only does it look like a great game but it won’t be available to buy in the UK until two days after our event – so you could be one of the first people to own a copy of Ofrenda, just by coming along and trying out the game this Tuesday.
Ofrenda is a card drafting and pattern building game for 1–4 players that is themed around the Mexican Dead of the Dead. Prepare your Ofrenda (the altar to honour those who have passed away) arranging the offerings to do the best you can to fulfil their wishes. An interesting and challenging puzzle with a vibrant artsytle that should make for a great prize!
The Previous Week’s Feature Game was: Tinderblox: Storm Edition
Tis the season for camping – but it does get cold at night – so best to build a fire to keep yourself toasty. The only obstacle is that given the tendency of English weather to turn suddenly, the chances of a storm on the horizon is high! Tinderblox is series is stacking dexterity games that task you with building a fire out of blocks while being armed with tweezers. The Storm Edition adds an extra challenge with providing rain cards and storm cubes which add an extra level of difficulty.
Dodge the rainclouds in your life, join us this Tuesday and you could win a copy of Tinderblox: Storm Edition just by trying out the game at the event.
(N.B: No training video here this week as there isn’t one on BGG, but Tinderblox games are generally quick to play and easy to learn, so this shouldn’t be an issue.)
