BRB Events

Big Red Barrel has now hosted a number of videogame and tabletop gaming based events. Our BIG annual event is the hosting, organisation and curation of the gaming section for the Scottish Car Show. In 2014, 18,400 visited the Scottish Car Show – even though our FTL event is ancillary to the Car Show its continued growth and success makes it one of the largest gaming events in Scotland.

As well as hosting a weekly event, we also help host a tabletop gaming event every year for International Tabletop Day with our partners at Loading and have hosted a number of other one-off events – including but not limited to a “A Wake for LucasArts” and a 80’s Themed Blood Dragon night.

International Tabletop Day in 2015 saw 85 people joining us in the evening at Loading (i.e. not including others who came and went throughout the day) with six new feature games to be won on the day and three games that were given away as prizes throughout the evening. We also tried our hand at Livestreaming from the event for the first time this year and will be looking to expand on this and the event in general next year and beyond.
