The Headwinds Update adds a Solo vs. Squads matchmaking option to ARC Raiders, offering higher-risk runs with bonus XP for players willing to go it alone. The update also introduces a new map condition in the Buried City, where flocks of birds disrupt visibility and traversal, forcing Raiders to adapt their tactics. New quests, Open Parties, and expanded squad invite options round out the update, continuing Embark Studios’ push to evolve the extraction shooter’s systems and pacing.
