Misfits Attic, the studio behind Duskers, is back with a new project that blends chess, roguelikes and dungeon crawling in Below the Crown. The game makes its public debut with a demo during Steam Next Fest 2025.
Players take on the role of a wizard exploring retro-styled dungeons, commanding chess-inspired party members and casting spells to outmanoeuvre enemies. Between battles, the game introduces psychological tests that hint at the mysteries of the world beneath the crown.
Below the Crown is set to launch on PC (via Steam) sometime this year.
