Saber Interactive has shown off new gameplay for John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando at Gamescom 2025. Set in a near-future disaster where a failed experiment to tap into the Earth’s core unleashes endless hordes of creatures, the co-op FPS embraces an ‘80s action vibe with over-the-top combat and teamwork at its core.
Players can pick from different classes and loadouts, using weapons, grenades and special abilities to survive against swarms of enemies and towering bosses.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando launches in early 2026 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
