Owlcat Games has put out a fresh mechanics overview for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn alongside the start of its closed beta. The video gives a better look at the third-person combat, companion setup and choice-driven structure, while the beta itself is available now for founders on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Set after the Eros incident, the RPG casts players as a Pinkwater Security mercenary building a crew and pushing back against Protogen. Owlcat says the beta includes dialogue choices, station exploration and an early slice of the upgrade systems, with the test running through to launch.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is launching in Spring 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
