Kalypso Media and Gaming Minds Studios have finally given Tropico 7 a proper gameplay tease, showing El Presidente returning to rule across a larger archipelago rather than a single island. The trailer points to more direct control over your nation’s shape too, with the ability to move mountains and build across the land in a way previous games did not.
Alongside the fresh look at construction, the official store page also teases a political council, greater control over military forces and a new rival in Victoria Guerra, with Penultimo once again close at hand. It sounds like Tropico is leaning into bigger-scale management without dropping its usual dictatorship satire.
Tropico 7 is launching in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
