Developer CyancookGames has revealed Of Peaks and Tides, a survival sandbox adventure set in a world inspired by ancient Eastern mythology. The announcement came with both a 2D concept trailer and a first look at 3D gameplay.
Players will explore an open world filled with strange creatures, lost civilisations, and lands corrupted by fallen gods. Combat mixes action RPG elements with environmental hazards — floods, sandstorms, and blizzards can be turned against enemies, while rare resources can be gathered to craft weapons, tools, and bases. Building options range from mountainside structures to settlements perched on the backs of giant animals.
The game also features exploration by land, sea, and air, with the ability to tame and ride massive creatures across the Everland.
Of Peaks and Tides launches on PC (via Steam) in 2026.
