BRB Boom 55: Smoking In The Womb

It’s time, once again, to put boom in your boom and listen to BRB Boom. This week, Yoshifett is joined by Pacman and Aaron from geekti.me to play video games and chat about things of the week, baseball, Next Gen consoles, and whatever random topics our listeners came up with.

Please be sure to subscribe to the BRB Boom feed on iTunes or RSS. If you insist, you can always just download the mp3. If you are currently using a computer with iTunes on it, would you mind heading over there and leaving some feedback?

  1. I have a PS4 confirmed for day of release, but to be honest, I am considering cancelling. I am working through a back catalogue of great PS3 games which will easily see me through the launch date and beyond. No backwards compatibility will leave the PS4 sitting mainly unused, after completing Watch Dogs, until true next gen games begin to gather momentum. Partly my own fault for wading in to the mire of Xbox vs PS bullshit clogging the internet arteries, which has also dampened my enthusiasm as well. People hurling constant invective at each other, everything dissected into irrelevance, forced into casual or hardcore status, death threats aimed at developers, female participation still an issue, silly petitions, changed endings – there is something wrong when gaming becomes just another reflection of the society that supports it rather than entertainment, as it should be. We have plenty of the former and not enough of the latter.

  2. Sony talk from the BOOM show!!??? Is this Bizarro world? Loved the geeking guys. I don’t get all the talk on the specs though, it’s interesting don’t get me wrong. The two seem virtually the same, especially since Sony has learned a few things and is making it better for online play, including a headset and what not. (That’s correct right?) The biggest games are on both, so you guys don’t think that exclusives will play a part at all in giving a console the edge? Naughty Dog is definitely my fave dev, so that’s a system seller for me. Are Halo and Gears now irrelevant?

Thinking of Dogs and Smelly, really hope they’re doing OK.
