Comics Inc 16: Bow Boys and Aliens

Just like that pesky renegade master Rik and Reuben are back once again with the ill behaviour to talk about all things comic books.

This episode our spandex clad adventure duo wax lyrical about Venom, Absolute Carnage, Hawkeye, Green Arrow, Miles Morales: Spider-Man, AND Secret Invasion.

It’s a whole lot of comic content to fit into 60 minutes but somehow our heroes manage it. Did they use Pym Particles or was it something else entirely? You’ll just have to listen to find out!

We are incredibly honoured that you’ve decided to check this little show about the world of comic culture our for yourself. For your convenience, you can simply download the MP3 by clicking HERE or you can subscribe via iTunesRSS, Spotify or YouTube and stay up to date.

Wow. A comic I’ve actually read! I’ve read the first two volumes of Rebirth Green Arrow and have enjoyed them. There’s a particularly humorous thing that happens (I believe in Volume 2) that I think long time Green Arrow fans would appreciate.

As for Arrow, yes it’s time to hang up the bow. I understand it’s ending because Amell wants to pursue other interests, like wrestling. The current season has been good so far though, especially the dialogue between Oliver and Diggle.(and no team drama) Unfortunately, I have zero interest in the 2040 plotline, and doubt I will continue with the Green Arrow and the Canaries spinoff.

Going back to rebirth, I’m really enjoying the Green Lantern runs, particularly Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. New Super-Man is also good for a new to me hero and premise.
