I think I picked Wonder Woman and Crisis on Earth-X because they seemed to be something above what we are used to getting from Warner Bros/DC in particular and super hero movies and shows in general. While I am a fan of the the Disney MCU, they have been veering toward comedy in a big way, which to me puts them in danger of becoming self-parodies. (Kind of like what Roger Moore’s James Bond did toward the end of his run.) Plus it takes the sting out of the villains. DC’s dour cinematic universe needs no further commentary at this point I think. Both movies (cinematic and TV) hit the right spot I felt in the comedy vs (what for lack of a better word) I will call gravitas balance.

As a side note, when you say something is available on Amazon Prime, you might want to include that that is true for the UK. Having gone looking for those titles on the American Amazon and not finding them on Prime here, I thought I’d mention it.

Ha! Thanks for pointing that out. I always assumed that back in the UK we get less than in America and that if it is on Netflix or Amazon Prime in the UK, you guys must have had it already.
