  • Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warefare 2 gets an open beta
  • Oculus Rift is expensive
  • Scalebound gets delayed
  • Dan gets slightly addicted to AdVenture Capitalist, fails at Kerbal Space Program and picks up a sexy CronusMAX PLUS
  • Coleman catches up with Batman: Arkham Knight‘s DLC and Ocarina of Time 3D
  • Tim plays nothing and that’s okay
  • Plus, PlayStation Plus and Xbox Games with Gold breakdowns

  1. Good SHOOOOOOW!  The use of the Countdown theme did remind me of how much I miss The Great British Debate.  Good times.

Oh, liking the Press Start animations too.  Nice work!  😀

Yes! That was my first thought.

Thanks for the episode folks, and happy new year 🙂

Besieged is the medieval siege weapon builder Coleman mentioned.

KSP I will love forever. Have probably learned more from that than my actual astrophysics degree…

Juggernoooooooging great start (to the show) for the new year chaps:)

Too many sad events, so happy to have you back to ease the loss. Thanks for the much needed funnybigsmile

After playing the PvZ GW2 beta I am struggling for a reason to buy it.  I absolutely love PvZ GW but I don’t see enough in the multiplayer that is new for me to justify dropping £40 (or whatever amount) in it.  The extra classes don’t add all that much flavour wise IMO and it’s basically the same game.  It feels more like a DLC than a full game.

  6. Great show chaps

Ill start by saying I shall be giving VR a wide berth that price point is ridiculous for a device that we don’t really know if it will integrate into the gaming world, the Kinetics ect did not achieve this so i will be avoiding.
Adventure Capitalist and Kerbal used to take up so much of my time and now that Dan has brought them to my attention again I shall be giving them a go again happyhappy

I was soooooo pleased to hear Dan talk about the CronusMAX PLUS and I thought this sounds amazing… till I looked it up and it doesn’t support os x sad gutted

I’m the opposite I hate the Xbox one controller and like the PS4 controller I find it much more comfortable to hold.

Oh on colemans point about Ocarina of time I got it for the Wii U and dear god the game has not aged well on that either (it’s not an HD version).  I also forgot just how much I hated the starting area and things like not being able to skip talking and no jump button being very annoying/odd

Hey all, great shows one and all.

My pile of shame is ridiculous, 69 Steam games and 2 Xbox 360 games. Steam Sales and Humble Bundles keep being too good to miss. Short story shorter, I am never going to see the bottom of it…

Meanwhile I keep playing Bleach: Brave Souls and Walking Dead: Road To Survival on the phone. I have a phone game problem…

My gaming backlog is massive also, approximately 30 XBOX 360 games, at least 15 steam games and probably 20 DS / 3DS games. I mainly want to keep playing Fallout 4 though XD

  12. I was pretty ill over xmas so I battled through my pile of shame and payed everything happy silver lining ? I must say though Tomb Raider was my particular stand out game of everything I had, superb story and gameplay although some parts resembled the last game too closely (try not to spoil) such as near the end when you are climbing about the end tombs/temples and the “bad guys” are all marching was exactly the same as the last game when you did the same thing but besides that it was great.

Fallout 4 is a big part of my reason too…

Did I mention that my pile of shame contains Hotline Miami, Psychonauts and Portal. I know these are good games, I just can’t get round to playing them. I should consider doing the 12 in 12 challenge. Also all of the Tom Braiders up to the new ones (They were on sale as a bundle)…
