BRB UK 70: Worms With Friends

Dan’s butler is on holiday this week and accidentally took the keys to the DanCave® with him. Apart from meaning a butler is in line for a beating on his return, it also means no Dan. It does mean that there is room for BRB staff member, Richard to worm his way onto the podcast to join Jon and Tim to talk about:

• Table Top Tuesdays! – Snake Oil, Ticket To Ride

• News: Leak ‘R’ Us and The 180 Update

• Preview: LEGO Marvel Heroes (with add Punisher)

• Reviews: Worms 3 (iOS), SteamWorld DigTekken Card Tournament.

We appreciate you chaps taking time out of your week to listen to our show.  For your convenience, you can simply download the MP3 by clicking HERE or you can subscribe via iTunes, RSS or Zune and stay up to date.

  1. Y’all better hope Dan comes back soon ’cause I had hecka fun with this and I’m not sure Jon can survive another round with Tim and myself.

Tabletop Tuesdays continue to sound amazing! Going to be in London next week so will actually get to experience one as well, should be good!
Appreciating that being able to respond whenever to moves in worms is a pretty cool feature, it somehow makes it feel an awful lot more tactical than it is. Supersheep to D4.

  3. There be no forum post, must admit that threw me a bit.

Did I almost get a telling off by a Scotsman? what did I do? But I’m lovely!

Quick side note, will the BRBUK team be heading out to EuroGamer Expo again this year? If o will there be another attempt of a community meet up or a piggyback on StickTwiddlers or Loading?

Can’t help thinking you missed the chance to call the episode Friends with Worms.

As the BRB podcast that probably covers handheld/phone gamimg the most I’m surprised you haven’t covered Plants vs Zombies 2 apart from the preview a couple of weeks ago. I’m loving it right now and it feels like a game that was wholly designed without micro transactions in mind with them added afterwards for those that wish to take shortcuts. Having said that the pricing is aquite steep on what you can pay for and those extra plants and slots are crying out to me to be bought. Buying extra coins seems unnecessary as I haven’t felt the need to use the power ups so far and am stock pilling the game currency for a rainy day/bloody hard level.

So far I have bought the cheapest bundle deal which was offered at half price of £1.99 which seemed decent value and seemed the least I should spend to reward the devs.

  5. So now we’re on the forum but the comments aren’t syncing with the article post? Can’t help but think that Dangerous Brian is behind this hmmm

We will be attending the StickTwiddlers party but will likely do something at the show on the Saturday and will hopefully have something to announce regarding Loading soon.
