Steven Spielberg returns to big-screen sci-fi with Disclosure Day, and the first trailer looks more unnerving than awe-struck. Emily Blunt’s weather reporter starts speaking in something she cannot explain, while Josh O’Connor is drawn into the fallout as the film starts pulling at questions of contact, secrecy and who gets to control the story.
It is still playing things close to the chest, but the trailer sells the scale and the tone without overexplaining the aliens. That feels like the right move for a Spielberg film built around revelation.
Disclosure Day lands in cinemas on June 12, 2026.
