The first trailer for Street Fighter sets up a 1993 story centred on estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters, who are pulled back into action when Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament.
What begins as a brutal contest soon points to something bigger, with a conspiracy behind the fighting forcing the pair to confront each other as well as their past. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film looks set to lean into the series’ arcade roots with plenty of familiar faces and signature moves along the way.
