A brand-new free demo for Folklore Hunter, the co-op urban legend hunting survival game from Liquid Donkey Games, is available now on Steam. The demo gives players access to the complete Wendigo story hunt, inspired by North American Algonquian folklore, tasking hunters with tracking the creature through dense forests, strange caves, and shifting environments. Combat alone is not enough; environmental puzzles, investigation, and ritual-based mechanics are required to survive the encounter.
The full release expands the experience with additional folklore hunts, including the Strigoi and the long-awaited Mothman, alongside online co-op, loadout customisation, and replayable contract hunts.
Folklore Hunter is launching on January 30, 2026, for PC.
