Nintendo has dropped new content for Donkey Kong Bananza as revealed during today’s Direct.
The DLC introduces DK Island, a new area packed with nods to the series’ history, including a colossal stone Kong head to scale or smash apart. Alongside this, players will unlock Emerald Rush mode after finishing the base game — a timed challenge that has you racing for emeralds across DK Island and other locations, with mini-objectives that can abruptly end your run if failed.
Progress in Emerald Rush rewards players with fresh costumes for DK and Pauline, as well as collectible statues to decorate DK Island. A free demo of the main game also goes live today for those yet to try out Nintendo’s latest simian adventure.
Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC is available now for Nintendo Switch 2.
