DC Studios has put the first Clayface teaser online, and it looks like it is leaning hard into horror rather than superhero spectacle. The footage introduces Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, a rising actor whose attempt to fix a brutal disfigurement turns him into the shape-shifting Batman villain.
The teaser is mostly built around flashes of Hagen falling apart, from a bloodied bandaged face to full-on body horror beats, with James Watkins directing from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan are also in the cast.
Clayface lands in cinemas on October 23, 2026.
