Lionsgate has released the first full trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, finally putting a younger Haymitch Abernathy at the centre of the Second Quarter Quell. It is a bigger, harsher look at Panem than the earlier teaser, with the arena, the Capitol spectacle and the first cracks of rebellion all pushed to the front.
Joseph Zada leads the cast, while the trailer also gives proper looks at Elle Fanning’s Effie Trinket, Jesse Plemons’ Plutarch Heavensbee, Maya Hawke’s Wiress and Ralph Fiennes’ President Snow. Francis Lawrence is back behind the camera, so it already feels closely tied to the rest of the film series.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping lands in cinemas on November 20, 2026.
