Independent Film Company has released the first teaser for Idiots, Macon Blair’s road-trip comedy starring Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr. The footage sets up a simple transport job that goes badly wrong, with the pair hired to move a wealthy teen to rehab before the whole thing turns into a much messier trip.
Mason Thames is the kid in question, with Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun and Peter Dinklage also in the cast. It is a short first look, but it does a solid job of selling the film’s loose, scrappy energy without trying to explain every turn up front.
Idiots lands in cinemas on August 28, 2026.
