Netflix’s full trailer for Man on Fire gives Yahya Abdul-Mateen II a heavy action showcase as John Creasy, a former Special Forces operator who is dragged back into the fire after trying to keep to himself. The footage pushes the bruised, damaged version of Creasy as hard as the action, which helps it feel like more than a straight remake run.
The series also makes Poe and Creasy’s bond look central to the whole thing, with Brazil-set chaos, bombings and close-quarters fights doing the rest of the work around them. It is a pretty direct sell, but a sharp one.
Man on Fire premieres on Netflix on April 30, 2026.
