Nintendo has confirmed that Illumination is once again teaming up with them to bring Mario back to the big screen in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Announced during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, the film will adapt the much-loved 2007 Wii platformer and sees the return of the same core cast from last year’s blockbuster.
Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key and Kevin Michael Richardson are all set to reprise their roles as Mario, Peach, Luigi, Bowser, Toad and Kamek. While the teaser gave a first look at the title and a few short clips, fans are already wondering who will take on the role of Rosalina, who made her debut in the original game but was absent from the previous movie. Yoshi was also teased at the end of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, though it remains to be seen if he’ll have a proper part this time.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie releases in cinemas on April 03, 2026.
