The Outlast Trials kicks off Season 4 with Project Diarchy, bringing in a twisted new duo of antagonists, a fresh Trial environment, and some serious overhauls to its gameplay systems.
Meet Otto and Arora, the Kress Twins—conjoined killers with a taste for elite cruelty. Arora lobs toxic chemicals from afar while Otto gets up close with a chainsaw. Together, they offer a full-circle field of view and a relentless pursuit of victims. Their debut location is The Shopping Mall, a grotesque patriotic monument to corporate corruption and political manipulation.
The update introduces a new Story Trial titled Kill the Politician, plus two additional MK-Challenges: Get Out the Vote and Sentence the Persecuted. There’s also a significant update to the Rebirth system, which now includes a Communal Rebirth option for team-based progression, complete with new gameplay modifiers like Mirror, Rebirth, and Classified variators.
The Outlast Trials: Project Diarchy is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
