Geek Speak 157: The Year of the Tush

Merriest of Butmases and Happiest of Tush Years!

This is the last episode of Geek Speak for the year 2018, and Diarmuid, Jo and Alex do a year in review looking back at some of their favourite things!

Also, rogue elf, Bleezey, somehow got into the show… We are not sure how but we sent raindeers to investigate!

We jingle about:

  • The Christmas (?!) tale
  • Favourite TV shows
  • Favourite books
  • Favourite video games
  • Favourite movies

Thank you to all our amazing listeners who sent in their picks!

See you all in a New Year!

Love,

Geek Speak

Alex, Diarmuid, Jo

(and rogue Bleezey who is now definitely banned <_<)

The Name Of The Wind is the first of a promised trilogy “The King Killer Chronicles”. We have two books (The Name Of The Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear) the third (Doors Of Stone) is not yet published. But The Name Of The Wind is stil soooooooo great.

Since there are no rules as such, Dragon Age Inquisition is also my game of the year because I have basically only played that and Destiny 2 (which I picked up for free on PC from Dan).

I will second Diarmuid’s selection of Titans as best TV program. Some of it is uneven, but wow is it a riveting watch. If you do decide to take the plunge, be sure to watch the season finale through the end credits.

Nice! Well, that certainly sounds like something to add to the list then!

I’ve been wanting to read it for ages but there are only some many books that haven’t released yet / will never be released that I can wait for at the moment.

Winds of Winter and unfinished Amber Chronicles are currently preventing me from taking the plunge with Patrick Rothfuss, I am afraid happy
