BRB UK 303: Pink Batman Pants

While Dan’s away, Tim and Coleman will play… with each other… in making another fine episode of the Big Red Barrel UK Podcast that is.

Once again we are missing the good Doctor as he needs to move to his brand new shiny house but that just means we get to bring a friend in to talk tosh with us this week. Returning to the show by way of BRB’s brand new podcast, Comics Inc, we have Rik.

Topics on this week’s show include:

  • Eurogamer’s Anatomy of a tabloid Fortnite front page story
  • All the points of interest this week has to offer
  • Rik get’s stuck into Shining Resonance Refrain before dusting off his Wii for Klonoa
  • Tim reviews The Banner Saga III and Jurassic Park Evolution
  • Coleman goes fully portable with his Switch for the re-releases of South Park: The Fractured but Whole and Crash Bandicoot: The N. Sane Trilogy

Thank you so much for your continued support, we truly couldn’t have kept going for this long without the best audience we could possibly wish for. For your convenience, you can simply download the MP3 by clicking HERE or you can subscribe via iTunes, RSS or Spotify and stay up to date.

Great show guys, super funny that Rik fell for the “you have a magical ring” hahahaha lol. So good to hear more switch stuff and I am interested in getting south park on it, but I am a little disappointed about Jurassic park as I am a fan of park builder game and i abosoluabs love Jurassic park lol, so you recommend waiting for a price drop as I don’t know if I want to spend the full amount.

I’ve been debating a Switch purchase, since the Nintendo consoles I have have seen the least usage. Would a Switch change that? I’m not sure. So I am interested in the Switch game reviews for that reason.

@stingo the truth about the switch is that it will not draw you away from your main gaming solution, for me it has not taken me away from my Xbox. But, I still play lot’s of it, the games are fantastic and any indie game I want to buy I fhecc if it is on the switch first as that is the best place to play tight now. It will give you something else to play when your just a little bit done with play overwatch or cod or whatever else you might be into, and it will draw you in enough to mean that you will never over play your main game but still be happy to game for another hour or so.

I will give a couple of points of interest, firstly the switch is great as a handheld and good as a tv console, which means that if you commute using public transport it is great especially in big cities like London that I live in. Finally, Nintendo still do Nintendo things that are very annoying, like weird multiplayer chat arrangements, that I still have not used, no watch app like Netflix, youtube, and others, BBC here in the UK, and the e-store could have better deals, it’s no steam but then nothing ever will be lol.
