Started Jessica Jones Season 2 (on time for a change, finally) and despite the recap at the beginning I am finding it difficult to remember plot points from Season 1 at this remove. Like from Episode 2…
What happened to Simpson? Last I recall he and Trish were a thing, but now they aren’t.
With all the accolades Black Panther’s been getting, I keep hoping some of the love would make it to Black Lightning as well. It’s a breath of fresh air in the DC TV Universe in that it is about something more than just being a super hero. (in my opinion). Oh yeah, speaking of the DCTU, they expand it again with Krypton which premieres in a few days. Krypton takes place a few generations prior to Superman/Supergirl, where the House of El is disgraced and Kal El’s grandfather tries to rebuild/reclaim the family’s good name. By my count that makes it some 9 comic based shows:

    Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Lucifer, iZombie, Preacher. Black Lightning and Krypton

    I try to keep up with the Arrowverse shows and Black Lightning with occasional views of Lucifer, which may explain why other shows like Jessica Jones wait longer than they really should. No complaints though since the Arrowverse is having a good year.

    great show as always, I must say that you guys are right to say that there might be an over-saturation of Star Wars at the mo and I think they should have spaced all the movies out more and stop throwing so much stuff at us, but I think they want the Disney thing to have a good strong launch which you cannot blame them for.

    I loved the Pullman Dark material books and the golden compass was not too bad, but was too dumbed down with too much “Hollywood” thrown at it but I enjoyed it back in the day, and I heard the catholic church got angry at the film and that is why they did not make the second one lol. I would like to see the dark materials on the screen, any screen, but the CGI might be quite taxing for the BBC.

    I loved Coco was just so fun for a movie about death, and I really like Jessica Jones and compare to season one it’s not as great but competent and I think this gives good groundwork for follow up stories.

    @stingo Yes black lighting is great I have been enjoying that show quite a bit, I recommend. not into the Arrowverse, fell out at season 3 of Arrow and never got back into it, but I still keep up with iZombie and Lucifer as they are just some stupid good fun. need to catch up we Preacher lol.

    @Stingo and StealthyJoe

    I really need to get on that Black Lightning! It is my Netflix list.

    And, yeah, 100% agree with Hollywood Golden Compas. It was pretty and some good casting choice (and some bad ones), but overall it missed the point of the books
