Geek Speak 103: News Crash

Hello and welcome!

This episode of Geek Speak is a little bit different. Lauren was away working at Insomnia and Jo was participating in a 24-hour fundraising marathon for Special Effects, so Alex called on the old troops… or a troop (?), O.K. maybe just one soldier. She was joined by Julia (her Cookies & Booze co-host) for this episode to chat about some NEWS! That’s right, we are adding a news segment to our show!

Full disclosure, originally we discussed more topics on the show, including Glow (a high recommend from us all) and Alien: Covenant, but due to an audio hiccup, this has been cut out of the show. We apologize for that. However, we hope you enjoy this show and see you next week when the normal(-ish) service should resume!

Alex and Julia chat about:

  • Time-Waster of the Week: Just Write YouTube channel
  • There is a Joker origin story in the works
  • Death Note is live on Netflix and we are concerned
  • Hannibal is coming back!
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • We briefly chat about Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Diablo III and Until Dawn
