I’ve been waiting weeks for the Galavant discussion! It’s good fun to hear something I love talked about by other people who love it too. As good as the songs were in Season I, I think Season 2’s were more inventive, and some take a very particular tack. That said, some of the songs from the show are not on the soundtrack recordings.

As a side note, I understand Vinnie Jones was the first to sign onto the show.

Since you talked about Riverdale, has anyone read Afterlife with Archie? I read the first volume and liked it.

Fun show as always. Re: Powerless, can the DCEU do anything right (other than Lego Batman)?

TV-wise I think the Arrowverse has been pretty good this year, especially Legends of Tomorrow. I’d imagine Gotham, Preacher, iZombie and Lucifer are doing well as well.

From my slightly limited exposure to the shows, my impression as follows.

Lucifer is more a cheesy romance cop procedural than a comic tv show.

Gothan, refer to Tim’s review, echoes my thoughts on it.

    Preacher I haven’t seen.

iZombie is great. I had a think about why it isn’t more popular, and I think straight from the start ‘zombie’ theme puts people off. We were just overexposed to everything Zombie related, so people don’t bother with the show thinking it is more of the same. Which is a great shame, as this show is actually doing something interesting with the theme.

Arrow, sorry couldn’t get into. Silly reason for it – actors are too pretty. IMO, gives the universe plastic and too perfect feel.

My thinking was that is a heck of a lot of properties from DC. 8 shows and 4 of them inhabiting the same universe with crossovers is quite a feat.

I had heard good things about Lucifer and Preacher. Gotham I understand has too large of a cast (something which could be said of the Arrowverse shows too) and the limited times I heard of iZombie it was good things.
