The “thing” pacman was talking about that is in braveheart is Primae Noctis (or Prima Nocta as they wrongly call it in the film) which probably didn’t actually exist.  Braveheart is horrifically historically inaccurate.

On the topic of battlefront I am a big battlefield 4 player (bigger than any of the hosts :P) and actually liked battlefront as well.  I think one of the main things is you have to play it in 3rd person mode it is a much more enjoyable experience.  1st person I prefer battlefield but the advantages in 3rd person add a lot of enjoyment for me.

In terms of walker assault I saw the rebels win a couple of times and DICE have already said it will be more balanced when the game releases as people will have access to all the gadgets etc.  I think the biggest problem that game mode has (other than the spawn system) is the fact the imperials can get into turrets.  I also think that the turret that likes like a satalite dish does FAR too little damage to the AT AT.  It 1 shots other turrets and does high damage to ATSTs but only does 1% damage to ATATs this is far to little.  I would stop imperials being able to get into the turrets and possibly also add the option to repair them because once they are destroyed they are destroyed but once the ATST dies it respawns fairly quickly.

The arguement of marking the uplinks as A and B I was in that conversation and I will state my response in here.  Just call them left and right uplink you don’t need to call them A and B left and right is fine.  In terms of overall balance the addition of the extra gadgets (like the rocket launcher that you get in the horde mode) will change the balance of the mode.  It will also change when more people learn how to play it properly and more people run with a wider range of gadgets.

2 ion grenades will take down an ATST with ease. 1 does serious damage to them and so 2 people working in tandem can easily take down an ATST instantly and so when more people run ion grenades then vehicles will become less of an issue.   I also have to disagree with Kev that the ground players can’t do much to damage an ATAT.  An orbital strike does 75% damage to an ATAT and so once you get an orbital strike you need to hold onto it.  Now the “bad” thing here is that getting an orbital strike is entirely random BUT I don’t actually have an issue with this.  The battle pickups are by their very nature overpowered and some are more overpowered than others.

The fact hero characters can be picked up by anyone is ok for me.  I think tying it to something like a 15 killstreak will mean that only the best players ever get to use it and the majority of the playerbase will never get to use it.  It also would mean that the only way to get a hero on most game modes would be to hang as far back as possible and snipe people.  It also wouldn’t work in walker assault because getting a 15 killstreak as a rebel is VERY difficult whereas getting one as the empire isn’t so darth vadar would be there all the time and luke would rarely be seen which would F\*\*\* with game balance even more.  I don’t actually have an issue with the rebels dying more often because the point of the game mode isn’t team death match.

On daves point about commander mode commander mode for me ruined some battlefield gamemodes (like rush) and led to very imbalanced gameplay in others when only 1 side had the commander.  It was a nice idea but in reality I think it caused way more issues than it solved (and the AC130 should never have been put in the game).

All in all I am looking forward to battlefront I had a blast (particularly killing Alex and listening to her swear about it :))

I fully agree with Kevin battlefront is really unbalanced. En flying is really difficult I have people seen crashing planes constantly. En the biggest thing I have a problem with is the spawning I will either spawn in the middle of a gunfight or I hat to walk a long way to get back in the fight. But I will buy the game it is just a fun game to play.

I just got back in destiny but now I am level 40. But now the only thing I have to complain about is it takes a long time to get my light up as you play on your own (I don’t have any friends that play the game ) but I really love playing it just finished the taken king really liked it so now I am starting the grind to lvl300.

I have only broken 2 controllers but was my fault for throwing them again the wawall.

Really loved the podcast keep up the good work. Greetings

Battlefront sounds good – but I’ve heard the same thing from the podcasts that I listen to: the Hoth mission is imbalanced in favor of the Imperials. Then again, the Rebels were just providing defensive cover for their evacuation – it doesn’t sound like that was included in the game?

    Still listening 😀

May be interesting for you guys to know, if you remember that driving game most people have forgotten about (Project cars).

As it was crowd funded they sent most investors back out money. Now I only invested 15 euros. Well they sent me back 27.50 euros!

p.s Stop talking about Destiny, I hate it :D.
