Geek Speak 13: Buck Fast Duck Fat

Hello lovely listeners and welcome back to another episode of BRB Geek Speak. Unfortunately, we are again Pokemonica-less, as she is still summoning the gods of the internet to her lovely new Geek Mansion. However, fear not, we have found an excellent replacement in the face of our pal Steve, a managing editor at GGS Gamer. This week Lauren, Steve and Alex talk about:

  • Marvel Dice Masters: Age of Ultron, and you can read Alex’s preview here and Steve’s preview here.
  • Video game themed cocktails of Loading Bar
  • Lauren attempts relationships with pigeons… and dies in Hatoful Boyfriend
  • Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward
  • Persona 4
  • Solarversia, and you can read Alex’s review here.
  • Sword Art Online
  • Teddy Bear Picnic
  • Steve scares his family with VR
  • Coleman scares Lauren by hiding behind door in the dark corridor
  • Five Nights at Freddy’s

  1. King William of Butt-topia

Hello, lovely ladies of Geek Speak!
Love the show. It’s super refreshing to listen to a comic/board-game/videogame podcast which is hosted my men. Your show is full of geekery, girly giggles, and games. Amazing! Keep it up!
I would, though, love to hear more about your cossplay antics. I think I’m right in remembering that one or two of you said that you cosplay, but I’d love to listen to more of who/what you go as. What materials you use, who/what you would like to cosplay as in the future? I would love to start to do some cosplaying but there isn’t much cons around the Leeds area.
And finally, the best Marvel without a doubt has to be the Silver Surfer. Not only does he surf through space, SURF THROUGH SPACE!!! But as his skin is so reflective and shiny, you could totally chech yourself out in his butt. They’re like two plump mirror domes. You could point a laser at him and have yourself a mini disco. Want to take a selfie with a load of mates but they can’t all get into frame? “Hey, Silver Surfer… Point your butt this way.” Instant fish-eye view! Sweet.

  2. Bakewards

Craps am I too late for the competition?

Just started listening to the podcast after many years of listening to big red barrel UK and sarcastic gamer.

Great stuff girls. Been bulk listening over the last week. Good content and knowledge and out of all the podcasts I listen to every week one hosted by women, which is needed.

My answer for the competition (if not too late) is Gambit

Because as a child I loved talking in a French accent, wearing long coats and throwing lit playing cards at passers by. I thought I was alone until I watched the xmen animated series.

Finally a role model and an excuse for my arson.
