    First!

Dan, did you finish Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Edition? If so, how did you get through the dungeons?

The audible ad was very creative and hilarious, it matches Tim’s role at BRB UK quite well. Also please never use your “sexy” voices on the podcast again, it made me feel very uncomfortable lol
I can already tell that this is going to be a great episode 🙂

Ah the discomfort of arousal, very common when hearing these sexy voices in a public place.

    Cheers for the episode folks!

Glad Dan is at least one other person who stayed at the station when the fallout 4 hype train departed. It looked very samey (yeah it’s a nuclear apocalypse, not a lot you can do.)

Also unrelated but just to make sure I’m up to date I bought a ds the other day- almost entirely for pokemon. Anything else that anyone would recommend on that machine?

Would I assume correctly that you got a 3DS or did you get the older DS?

Nope, the old ds. Ds lite so I can transfer my pokemon from gen three to the newer ones, ds lite still has a gba port 🙂

Well that’s a GBA copy of Pokemon Fire Red and any of the Castlevania/Metroid titles right there.

Didn’t really play my DS much (ended up giving it to a much younger relative) but I found Tony Hawk American Sk8land to be a nice time waster on the commute to work at the time.

I’m sure we can come up with suggestions before the next show.winky2

  8. ^ Adding on Advance Wars Duel Strike and (obviously) Mario Kart DS thumb

Does anyone else remember loading games that used to come with some games on tape.  I remember space invaders was one of the loading games for a C64 game that I had.  We used to load the game until space invaders loaded and then pause the tape and just play that because it was much better than the actual game on the tape.

The other “fun” but was having to find the right part of the tape for your game missing it and it crashes 30 minutes into loading.

    Hi stingo,

I didn’t finish the +1 Edition, I played about 10 hours of it.

The dungeons are pretty difficult and annoying. Getting the upgrade (for you table I think?) which increases all dice rolls helps tremendously. One of the characters also has the perk “lucky”, if she’s in the party all dice rolls are increased as well.

Thanks Simon. Yes, the dungeons are a pretty big spike in difficulty which took me by surprise the first one I went into (Missed the sewers, but found the 2nd one). I did get the loaded dice, but couldn’t find any other luck based modifier. Thanks for the info.

Edited to add: Beat both dungeons tonight. I was way overleveled for the sewers, but the 2nd was a tough one.

Liam Neeson being the taken king would improve destiny, it might make it a decent game 😛 (I’m a bit bitter about spending too much time with destiny and not having any fun.)

  12. ^ I don’t want to say I told you so…but… = p
