As is customary, when people in the games industry decide to do what they can to raise money for charity, we here at Big Red Barrel do our best to promote it. Therefore, I would like to point your attention at the fine folks at 2K and Turtle Rock Studios…
TomorrowĀ (Friday 1st May, in case you are reading this later) the aforementioned fine folk will be streaming aĀ 24-hour session of EvolveĀ to raise money for GamesAid.Ā For those that don’t know, GamesAid is a UK-based charity run by volunteers in the games industry. They look to use theĀ skills of those in the industry to raise money for worthy causes, specifically those for children and young people.
The stream will begin from 19:00 BST/10:00 PST on Friday and will be hosted by 2K in conjunction with Turtle Rock Studios. As well as some kick-ass games of Evolve, there will also be prize giveaways on Ā the stream and the opportunity for the community to play against guests like Xbox UKās @Aceybongos, Turtle Rockās community manager @DamJess and some more famous faces.
