Big Red Barrelcast 80: Chocolate Starfish

The Big Red Barrelcast returns to tickle your ear drums with their ramblings! On this week’s episode, Kev, Pacman and Dave blabber on about barrels, Dying Light and the ultimate Valentine’s Day gift.

This time, they pontificate about:

  • Kev played Dark Souls again
  • Dying Light
  • Cities XXL
  • Life is Strange
  • Bioware cancels Shadow Realms
  • Games With Gold and PS+ games
  • Sony sells Sony Online Entertainment
  • Madden and the Superbowl
  • Shout outs
  • Bonus content for our lovely app owners

We’d love to give you all some sort of incredible hug immediately followed by a polite conversation about how cool you are, but frankly we can’t afford the travel expenses. So, while we save our pennies, cents, and whatever the heck Canadians use, we’ll offer you some download links to help bide the time. Cheers for the guys, good to have you back!
So yeah I bought cities xxl :/ Got quite a lot of time out of cities xl so just assumed it’d be a decent step up! As of yet, I can’t see a single difference. But at least, already owning xl, steam gave me 50% of xxl! Yay?

  2. It’s good to be back! From what Pacman was saying, I’d be asking for a refund, though.

Really liking Grey Goo so far; it’s ex-Westwood guys that made though and I’m a huge C&C fan so that’s probably helping.

Thanks. I saw Giantbomb’s Quick Look and thought it looked pretty good, so I was a little surprised at the opinion here on BRB, unless I misunderstood.

In regards to dismissing Grey Goo, that was a mistake on my part. I thought Kev had said “World of Goo” and not “Grey Goo.” I thought HE was the one making the mistake as World of Goo is not an RTS game.

Grey Goo ABSOLUTELY should have been one of the games I highlighted as good. The fact I completely blanked on it during the show is embarrassing. My bad.

No worries. Thanks for the clarification. I was kind of surprised, but glad to know that you actually do like it. Unfortunately, my budget was used to get Total War: Rome II and all DLC and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel both on sale on Steam this past weekend.

Just wanted a brilliant show as usual. A awesomely funny show. thumb Hope Pac Man is happy about the news of heists coming to GTA5 finally on March 10.
