  1. Ridcullys Hat

Yay another podcast! As always it was great and thanks for carrying on the destiny round up, its become a weekly thing (even though most of us are waiting with disappointment for the expansions). Always good to hear Dave who i am going to christen….American Dan (as fake Dan is now actual Coleman). Did anyone else play the evolve beta? It was quite fun from the time I spent on it. I was absolute pants but it was fun. Also, the five nights at Freddie’s lets plays on youtube are hilarious. I have thought about playing it but just can’t be bothered to play a game that obviously causes alot of underpant accidents and has the protagonist, literally, sitting at a desk for the duration.

  2. CloudStyle

Thanks for squeezing in the Indie question! Although I barely knew any of them, as Ridcullys already mentioned it,I thought I’d share my thoughts and see what you agree/disagree with on the Evolve Beta.

What were your thoughts on it, I have a feeling it has a lot of potential but it 3 things that caught my attention that could hurt the game –

    1. You need to be in an organised team, the game is hard enough as it is to take down the monster (If the monster knows what its doing) so running around in a bullet storm does nothing, so you will almost always need 3 friends to play with.

    2. Lack of game modes, sure its not fully released but to only have Hunt and Evacuation modes, especially with a game this repetitive could kill it off before it even kicks off the ground, in addition not spawning in a bot after a long period waiting in a lobby for players makes it difficult to wait for a game without a full party.

    3. Again, its only a Beta, but from what I saw the maps were almost exactly the same, similar foliage and environment. Similar textures and colours. I could barely tell it was a different map besides if I happened to see the ocean or maybe the river in the middle of the map.

Those are just some of my thoughts any way. Great Podcast as usual and good job Dave for keeping BRB UK such great quality.

  3. Ridcullys Hat

I have to agree with cloudstyle on the need for a group of organised friends on evolve as that seems to be my main problem with it. If I was the monster, the group owned me as they were really good as a team but if I was I the team I got butchered as I seemed to be playing with a bunch of monkeys who just ran off and left me to die. Not great as 9 times out 10 I was the medic. The one time I was the assault guy we won all other times they left the medic (me) to be turned into paste which meant the whole team was wiped out due to having no way to heal. I’m sure I could hear the ooks and the odd screech of an ape over team chat!

  4. YOU’RE NOT DAN!!!

  5. The cheeseburger comment nearly had me drive off the road laughing.

  6. Dailymotion don’t give a flying **** about copyright claims. I imagine that’s the singular upside to their new service.
