    Cheers for the show guys,

I can confirm the Theif feelings are indeed true. There are nice moments but the whole thing is really just a big clunky mess. I cant help but feel that the game we got was not the game they originally started. It kind of screams to me that they had a certain vision that wasn’t working so they just took all the assets and rushed a super generic, basically linear B level game out of them. There are so many things that just don’t work, and I don’t mean technically I mean in terms of mechanics. Don’t even get me started on all the random gold things left in strage locations like the street!!!

Lucky for me I picked it up on PS4 on day one for a little over £30 and traded it in on Amazon for a flat £30 after a few hours play.

Worse news I took advantage of a certain online shops competitive Xbox One Titanfall bundle offer. I wont name and shame (as much as they deserve it) but the term Lame Plop might give you a hint. I don’t know if anyone else has used their online store in the UK but they just don’t reply to emails at all and their phoneline just goes to answerphone instantly no matter when or how much you call. So… I have put my card details into this site and have no idea if they are actually going to provide anything. After ordering I googled and wish I hadnt. Countless people talking about having paid for PS4s back in Nov and still not having received anything. I cannot believe, given how big they are in the states they allow it to happen but ah well. I know better now, pay the £30 extra and get it from a shopto or amazon where you know you will get AAA service.

An update so you can all sleep tonight.

My Titanbone is dispatched. No tracking. No update on their site but an email saying its on its way. thumb

  4. Good show guys.

Personally, I can’t wait for The Order. The seamlessness PMPB was taking above was not the editing of the gameplay trailer but the transfer between gameplay and cinematic – so the jump you mentioned was player-controlled but the landing was a cinematic, so the transition was instantaneous.

I have seen the game being dismissed or disparaged because it plays like Gears of War… but GOW was one of the most popular series from the last generation so I don’t get the criticism there. I mean, even the recent announcement that Black Tusk are working on the next GOW was met with enthusiasm.

Like every game, it is not just what they are implementing but how well they do it that matters. I trust Ready At Dawn – their God of War PSP games were fantastic.

Hey I won’t stand by and let you besmirch the name of Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. Outside now!

Actually guys this game is uber fun. Would I have bought it if campers in Cod hadn’t been pissing me off so much recently or if there were more games on XBOX one? Maybe not. But I did and I’m glad I did. It’s genuinely good. A shooter that doesn’t make me more frustrated and angry than I was when I started playing. That can only be a good thing; for everyone around me at least.

Kev – the theme song is the best for any podcast ever and by a mile. Well played.

I hope you’re right, would be good to look forward to it. For me the problem with it (purely based on trailers, obviously) is that they’ve taken a fairly unused idea- don’t see too many Victorian steampunk games; sure there’s some but the market is hardly saturated- and managed to reduce it to just another third person shooter. Killing supernatural monsters in Victorian London (presumably London?) sounds amazing, absolutely sign me up for that, but just adding in guns seems to miss the potential that a game in such a period could attain.

My counter to that would be that we have seen, what, 5 minutes of footage? Not much in the grand scheme of things. So it is difficult to make any proper judgements.

TBH I think they were feeling the pressure to show something as they hadn’t since their initial trailer. Perhaps showing something so soon was the wrong option. Maybe, just maybe, Colin Moriarty over at IGN was right? Shocking, I know!

I concur. The game is perfect for casual play, but there are enough hardcore gamers to actually give competition. In regards to the actual game mechanics and play, it stands alone. It can seem like a balance between TF and Battlefield, but it has enough refinement to give it a unique feel. It has solid, responsive shooting involving individual entities for each bullet; the movement feels smooth with well balanced momentum that complements the combat system, also, almost every character has an ability to help them traverse the entire landscape of each map. All the DLC is going to be free, seemingly, too.

Also, I found it for 20$ retail. I would recommend picking it up.

Whelp, I assumed replying would automatically quote the origin post. I was referring to PVZ: Garden Warfare.

  10. Not gonna lie, I fell asleep when the games with gold transitioned to mobile numbers.  Turns out beer makes me sleepy.

  11. Jake

I actually play GTA Online with the clan I’m in. We do random missions, races, and deathmatches along with coming up with our own gametypes.

  12. FireMuncher

This goes out to pacman and kev, sorry Dave you’re not my PSN friend yet. I still love you though Dave. PSN:Eleby

  13. Josh

I still play GTA online with my friends.

We usually play races or mess about in the lobby robbing stores and creating pile-ups on the freeway.

Probably won’t be playing as much now because I bought my Xbone today, but GTA online is still fun in smaller doses.
