Awesome show as always chaps and alien: isolation looks and sounds amazing. Am I the only one that is curious as to what a timomorph would look like?

The anticipation is killing me! Timomorph definitely should have been the episode title :p
And so glad that some survival horror is actually still getting made: the crucial point that convinced me was Ollie saying that it is about ‘survival’, not ‘fighting’. This is the pure essence of survival horror, and it’s a shame that so many games seem to miss that.

Awesome cast guys , I’m super excited about Alien Isolation . After the last crop of rubbish alien games this sounds like a return to the original ethos . Predanor v’s Timomorph  ; now that my friend would be a movie !

I haven’t actually listened to the show yet, I’m assuming a Timoporph is a Aliens reference and nothing to do with Red Dwarf’s Polymorph. Obviously if a Polymorph ever met Jon it would turn into a Thursday.

I showed the App to one of the academics in my office and she is going to forward it on to the one show to see if they want to cover it as she has contacts that deal with the Scottish content (and it’s a dundee company app).

I will be mildly amused when Dan posts his statistics if they get torn apart :P

Also DNA Microarray isn’t a chromatographic method… damn doctors! :P

    Excellent episode as always chaps.

I know Tim get a lot of grief about his choice of Ryse as one of his games of the year, but I sort of agree the combat is solid the story is better than average and the multiplayer is enjoyable.  Yes its a little short however that’s sort of to it’s credit, it doesn’t out stay its welcome and it’s a really solid start to a potential franchise (disclaimer I’ve still got 2 levels to complete so it’s possible the story could preclude this).  I’m especially surprised out how solid and enjoyable it is as a game with it being developed by Crytek, a company that has never made a game I have liked.  Although I’ve only just bought it so maybe I’m suffering from a bad case of having had nothing new to play since November.

I have to say that Tim is right to stick to his guns. The reviews for ryse aren’t great but as long as you enjoy yourself that’s the point of gaming right? It may not be remembered as q great but we all have our guilty pleasures that we enjoy yet never got good reviews or are not held in high reguard by the majority. Even in movies or music there are some that we’d be chastised by our friends for liking but we still enjoy them.

Great show and the more I hear about Alien Isolation the better it sounds, might be too scary for me though.  Show still comes off as a Xbox fanfest though.

As a Scotsman, bring back the Scot and discussion of mobile phone games.  Need to know what is good at the moment on the Apple Store.
