Did none of you guys follow Dexter to it conclusion? I’ve only seen the 1st season & a half of Breaking Bad (My plan is Seasons 1-3 coming for x-mas then netflixs in Febuary) but I’d be interested to hear comparisons of how the 2 shows went so right and so wrong. Because it seems to me that Dexter was the stronger show after 2 seasons but season 4 aside Dexter went down hill hard and Breaking Bads rep went thru the roof after season 2.

Also if I may make a topic suggestion how do  you feel about how  realistic violence being for 18+ year old but shows  marketed at younger audiences show violence without realistic repercussions.

I’ve had a pet hate for the fighting in power Rangers since I was force to watch a lot of it when my 5 & 8 year old cousins came to stay. It occurred to me that a show that has characters hitting each other with weapons resulting in a cloud of sparks and a somersault later the person hit by a weapon like an axe just fine.

  2. I like how Dave gave up on beeping the cussing for the Breaking Bad portion of the show.  Woot!

  3. Zom, I think there’s a really interesting debate to be had about violence in children’s television. It makes a lot of sense to conclude that a child is significantly harmed by witnessing violence that has no realistic repercussion. However, that’s also a subject that I think could easily fall under the mistake that: Just because it makes sense, that means it’s true. I’d love to see the results of a study on this matter, and would have to refrain from offering an opinion one way or the other until further evidence was at hand.
