BRB UK 71: Cads and Zombies

Join Dan and Tim as they steer HMS BRB UK through the murky waters of gaming news; as this episode was recorded on a Thursday, there’s no Jon. What a muppet.

This week, the chaps chat about:

  • gamescom
    • Sony’s annoucements
    • Microsoft’s general lack of announcements
    • General gamescom bits und der bobs
  • Plants vs Zombies 2
  • Tim’s been playing virtual collectable cards games again
  • Initial impressions of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

We appreciate you chaps and chapettes taking time out of your week to listen to our show. For your convenience, you can simply download the MP3 by clicking HERE or you can subscribe via iTunes, RSS or Zune and stay up to date.

“Hallo und willkommen auf BRB UK Podcast, Folge siebenundsiebzig.”
    There you go Danny boy.
OH also, Dan, you’re talking even more B\*\*\*ocks than usual this episode. Good to have you back sir. :)
And here’s the thing Tim was blathering on about. It’s called Dinner For One and focuses on female-Dan and her Butler.

    ANYWAY!
Slightly more on topic, Xbox are now getting in on the act of the $10 upgrade for 360 to Xbone so SURELY now Microsoft can’t BS around the idea of offering the same to gamers around the world… Unless they just decide to shaft the other markets because too many currencies to think about and besides they’ll just buy two copies. Therefore more money!

Declassified sounds… Acceptable… Not great but not totally awful. That’s how it sounds on what I have heard, though I’ve not experienced it so it’s second hand info for me.

That’s the 2 cents I can add to this show without bordering on irrelevance. ‘Twas a good show, though it’s better when it’s a threesome.

  2. Dan’s back YAY bigsmile Jon’s gone BOO sad Now that’s out the way…

I actually listened to Tim and followed his advice and adopted a nice new shiny Vita, picked it up cheap too so it probably could have been Dan’s old one. Come to think of it, the chap who sold it to me looked a little butler-ish hmmm

We did and what’s more you should have a shiny new episode out tomorrow! = ) And recording a new one tonight. But no word yet on whether Jon is aware of the day of the week yet or not hmmm

Good show chaps, despite the missing Scot, Dan was on great form :D

Love the bit about Stratford as well, you’re absolutely right- even the house that’s called the ‘birthplace’ isn’t the house he was born in. Same plot of land, but it was constructed towards the end of his life.

Plants versus zombies 2 is indeed brilliant, to the point where I *almost* feel guilty for having played it so much and not paid owt. Great game!

Was good to see you again on Tuesday as well Tim, cheers! Anyone who’s not been down to the tabletop night at loading yet should make it their mission to do so, really good fun

One week we should all just tweet at him “It’s Thursday.” Just to make sure he know. :P
