  1. Good show guys.

Jitterbug mentioned “Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father”. If you haven’t seen it, do NOT look up any info on it, just watch it. Certainly one of the best documentaries I have seen.

Also, when Dave said something along the lines of “It’s not a spoiler, it’s in the trailer”, I lol’d. Reading AICN gives less away than trailers nowadays!

Finally, I think the movie Dave brought up during the ‘Prisoners’ talk is ‘The Siege’ – not Sammie L., Denzel W.

2nd Dear Zachary being the most emotionally effecting movie I’ve seen. Do not read anything about it, go in cold. I would love to hear a BKR on John Dies In the End. On Netflix and would recommend to all.

That film is batshit bonkers, in a kind of endearing way. Good fun.

    Cheers for the episode!

On your recommendation I think I might scrap my plan to go watch At worlds end in the band new cinema build 500 yards from my house and go see This is the end instead.

Just wondering if any of the crew has heard of the film Bang, bang you’re dead http://www.imdb.com/title/tt02…..?ref_=sr_2 I’ve recommended this film to a few people and without fail it has emotionally effected all of them.

I’d specially be interested on to hear yoshifett’s thoughts on it as it is about school bullying/shootings.

To quote one critic. “Most films seek to entertain. This one seeks to educate. The subject here is education itself, specifically American high schools, with their exclusionary social cliques, peer pressure and the inevitable toll that these harsh realities take on students, in the form of depression, anger, and violence.”

Even if you’ve seen it and didn’t really rate it please just let me know otherwise I’ll probably just keep recommending it.

Also Watership Down could be a very interesting film to discuss, not sure how well know it is outside of the UK but it’s basically a kids film (book) using rabbits as analogies for Jews and nazis.

how many films can you think of that feature torture, murder, communities being wiped out in mass and death (or the black rabbit ie the rabbit grim reaper.) and air during the afternoon.

I’m familiar with Watership Down as a book, but never saw a movie version. Also haven’t seen the Bang, Bang movie you mentioned. I’ll have to check that out.

Good show I like it a lot, but i have not watched to many movies lately and I think I should get on it lol and I think Yoshifett’s rant at the end was a little short for dave, I think you should try harder Yoshi lol.

Can’t way to hear all about LA Confidential I really like the film even though there are a few things that bug me, but I might need to watch the film this week before I listen to the podcast as I think I could be a bit fuzzy about a few things lol.

I really did not like RED and I can’t wait not to watch RED2 even do the cast is great and quite funny, I was just some how fundamentally against that film, it may have something to do with baseball batting a grenade from a grenade launch or something but what can I say, it just rub me the wrong way.

  8. I have a feeling that I’m going to turn into the bad guy during our LA Confidential review. I’m getting the impression that this is viewed as a flawless film, and I don’t agree with that at all. There’s one specific scene that I just absolutely hate, and it makes it hard for me to love the movie. But, you’re just going to have to wait until the show airs to find out what’s up.

On the topic of Game of Thrones I don’t really like the idea that Jon Snow is the true heir to the throne.  Fire and Ice for me refers to the lord of lights fight against the white walkers (fire and ice) nothing more and nothing less.

Even if he was their B\*stard offspring he wouldn’t be heir to the throne.

Also Jitterbug have you read all the books?  There are a few very good reasons why he wouldn’t be the heir to the throne but don’t want to give away spoilers.

Also I really think you should do a BKR of troll 2 have any of you seen it?  I recommend watching it then the documentary best worst movie.
