Yeah, I don’t think many people really understand the time and love that goes into kicking these episodes out. My group of friends has dabbled in a little bit of podcasting and just watching our editor do his thing makes you realize the work that goes into making it sound like the finished product. Then you have the music and those nice little touches, which I have to say, the theme song for this show is awesome. I catch myself singing along to it every time a new episode is released. So thank you to the unsung hero, Sir David, for his editing goodness and the whole crew for delving into the current events of video gaming news. We all appreciate you making our days a little more awesome with some podcast-y goodness.

As far as the episode goes, I had forgotten about that Michael commercial until you guys mentioned it so I YouTubed it and it still gives me goosebumps. What a great commercial that was, I had hoped that based on that commercial that maybe Sony had a cast of characters that would make their Super Smash Brothers clone hold water but even still I don’t know that any other company will be able to bolster their video game character ranks to that of Nintendo. I have to say though that unlike Kev, I will definitely be getting a PS4 at launch. Now that I have some disposable income and can be an early adopter, it’s pretty nice to ride the wave as I’ve not gotten to do this ever before. I remember I was so late to getting the Dreamcast that two weeks after I got it for my birthday, they announced that they were discontinuing production and support so I was on the extremely late adopter curve on that one.

I think Sony is well poised to start off this console generation strong and I’m looking forward to what X-Box has in terms of a rebuttal because aside from Halo, which even now I’m pretty disillusioned with, there isn’t anything X-Box has to offer that I’m interested in. Will be a great next couple months for gaming, keep up the good work gents.

EDIT: Thought that this was a pretty ironic example about piracy. Heard of this before with Serious Sam where in the cracked version, a super fast , invulnerable scorpion monster spawned in game which would not stop chasing you until you died. Figured it might be relevant to your op-ed style podcast.

Another great episode. I love you guys. The only way I’m buying a PS4 or an Xbox whatever at launch is if they come with Star Wars Battlefront 3 and/or KotOR 3.

Agreeable podcastage guys, especially the bonus content.

I man enough to say it. Seven-of-Nine can assimilate me any day. I would also mind-meld with T’pol. *nudge, nudge* See what I did there?

    Good episode lads!
Supernatural was a *great* show from seasons 1-3, pretty damn good 4-5, and pretty abysmal for 6-7. 8 is fairly alright so far, but hard to say whether it’s going anywhere.

In terms of adapting to the first gen of consoles, I have few concerns. I may be one of 7 people in the world, but got a 360 on launch day and it’s still alive, if a little noisy, today. It really is going to be down to exclusives and content services rather than hardware though for this coming generation. Hopefully microsoft can dispel some of the scary rumours about the 720 when they actually announce something!
Shame SimCity is still awful as well :/

    And McSeagull, good man :D

No chance I’m buying an oculus rift. You can imagine that if I’m against motion control in general, this is an entire new level of horror.

I don’t think it’s that 6/7 were abysmal, it’s just 4/5 were so good and then they had to try to set up the next plot arc which would involve a lot of pontificating.

Any console that comes with KotOR3 at launch may take my first born child plus any amount in cash as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve pretty much talked myself out of buying the neXtbox already to be honest. Beefy PC rig first and then at the moment, for all I love Halo, it’s probably gonna be the PS4 next after (if I could ever afford it). So yeah well done Microsoft your lack of talking seems to be pushing the idea of a purchase further and further from at least one member of your cattle herd’s mind. It’s a matter for me of can they change that on the 21st. If it doesn’t knock me out of the park then no way am I buying.

What even happened with that? I’ll admit, I’m not the biggest Sony fan on earth but I remember seeing like 1 advert for that and then it just seemed to disappear.

I saw about that on Twitter. Really did make me laugh, them getting asked questions like “can I research DRM?” or just simply “how do I make my company work?” It was also interesting how quickly some people turned on them when it was revealed that this was designed to F\*\*\* things up for pirates. Going from “this game is fun and different” to “OMFGBBQ!! u rIpPED Of GaMEDEvSTorY!!!!!!” But they got what they paid for in my eyes.

Great episode guys! I’m finally getting caught up on all of the BRB I’ve missed as I commute my 30 minutes to and from The college. Very nice way to keep me from focusing on how much I want to hurt all the other people who can’t drive that seem to flock to wherever I happen to be going. :) thanks for putting the time and effort into providing quality entertainment. There certainly isn’t anything left on the radio of any substance, I’d rather listen to a BRB podcast any day. :)

I can’t remember if this is the right episode (I listened to several in a row), but as a (hopefully) average human in terms of compassion, I’m outraged by EA being voted the worst company again. I also don’t remember if it was just U.S. companies or it includes other markets, but if the poll was national I am immensely sad for the state of our compassion.

It’s pretty disgusting that people care so much about a videogame company when (from the socialist viewpoint) Bank of America takes peoples home and (from the capitalist viewpoint) has some serious fraud issues. According to Forbes, EA won by 78% of the vote. Really people?
