Welcome back for another episode of Big Red Flix, BigRedBarrel.com’s movie podcast. All good things must come to an end… the same goes for crappy things. Join Dave, Jitterbug and Yoshifett as they grow so bored of talking about Back To The Future 2 that they look forward to the third one and talk about Star Wars.

Check back next week as the crew dives into Back To The Future 3.

    We are hateful jerks. LOL.

There is so much I want to say about the past couple episodes. lol

I can’t put them altogether. It does seem like with what Yoshi said at the start of this third part that just before recording this episode he finished Bioshock Infinite. happy

After re-listening to the SW saga episodes this week, I implore the trifecta to reconsider tackling Lord of the Rings. I have listened to the SW episodes so many times because the sheer amount of history of the literature and huge scope of the filming of the movie and everything else allows for such great discussion, even when veering off on a tangent. Although, it did sound like the trilogy was liked equally amongst you three and part of the reason the prequels episodes are so enjoyable is the polarizing opinions. Just think about it!

In lieu of LotR, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Saving Private Ryan (don’t think you guys have done a war movie yet unless I’m mistaken), Top Gun?!?!, Man on Fire, erm..don’t know. Just keep up the good work regardless, I’m just a lowly seagull cawing from above don’t mind me.

Yeah, that would be awesome! I think we should man up and do it.

Been listening to Silent Lucidity a ton since listening to the show. Never heard anything from Queensryche before but when Yosh said it was like a Pink Floyd song I was on it like a Shakespeare sonnet. Kinda doesn’t sound like any other Queensryche I checked out though, is that the only song of theirs that’s like that?

I’m never sure what you should BKR, they’re most compelling when the movie’s not perfect, like The Big Lebowski which you all agreed upon and spent the show quoting; but also not trash like Bloodrayne, cos who can be bothered with such a piece of crap.

I do wonder how much BttF like criticism the Indiana Trilogy (there are only 3) would get if watched with reduced nostalgia and heightened critique.

Temple of Doom is seriously flawed, but ultimately saved by a couple of really great scenes. Last Crusade is high on smaltz and family fun, but I have a hard time finding much fault with it – that movie’s a fun ride the whole way through. And Raiders is damn near perfect, easily the best of the trilogy.
